Stan's Music
Stan is an exciting and naturally gifted Song Writer who is becoming more and more talked about, listened to and having his work recorded by others. With an enviable number of well known songs and three highly aclaimed albums already under his belt, he is an artist who you are going to hear a lot about in the future. The subjects he writes about are varied and up to date, many reflect his experiences and observations of life both serious and humorous. He never preaches, is never pretentious but just eases in and out of the subject matter. This quiet and simple style is highly effective and contains a quality and style reminiscent of Tom Paxton, Allan Taylor or Ralph McTell. He always produces; "Songs that matter with words that count".



Stan's Songs
Vin Garbutt was the first to recognize the strength of Stan’s songs when he recorded one of his most powerful anthems “Sarajevo”. Now his songs can be heard in folk clubs across England and Scotland and have travelled as far a field as Australia, Europe and America. It speaks volumes for his ability, that his songs have since been covered by such luminaries of the Folk Music scene as George Hamilton IV, Vin Garbutt, Martyn Wyndham-Read, Bill Whaley & Dave Fletcher, The Tindalls. More recently he has been working and writing with one of the UK's top song writers Mike Silver, he has also just completed an exciting project with the internationally famous Jazz Pianist Terry Disley.
